Diagnostics with BTE Automotive
BTE Automotive, specialising in general vehicle diagnostics, provide a dealer-level diagnostic service. With our team of fully trained technicians, we possess a comprehensive understanding of the intricate workings of various vehicles, using manufacturer specific diagnostic equipment
What exactly is a vehicle diagnostic inspection?
A vehicle diagnostic entails utilising advanced technology to communicate with your car's computer system and identify potential faults. This intelligent technology guides our technicians to the areas that might be causing issues with your vehicle.
It's important to note that the diagnostic equipment itself (in most cases) cannot solve these problems. Instead, it aids our experienced technicians in determining the specific issues affecting your vehicle. By leveraging this equipment, we can avoid unnecessary engine dismantling or component replacement, leading to more cost-effective solutions.
What happens after the diagnostic process?
Following a diagnostic, our technicians may identify a single fault that can be promptly addressed and rectified.
However, at times, vehicles experience minor faults where warning lights briefly illuminate and then turn off, even though the car registers these instances. In such cases, our technicians will need to reset or adapt the vehicle's computer memory and may request you to drive the car for a specific period. Any faults detected during this time would indicate a particular problem that our technician can subsequently resolve. Be assured that we will not charge you for a second diagnostic under these circumstances.
OUR INITIAL DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION FEE IS £89.95.
This fee includes up to one hour with our diagnostic technician to allow for assessment and repair protocol.
